Dean's wisdom comes from decades as a top-producing sales executive for two of the nation's largest Fortune 100 companies, starting up and operating two tea inspired restaurants, coaching, and training thousands of start-up and existing tea businesses, restaurant owners, managers, and staff from coast to coast and over a dozen countries. Dean's expertise encompasses all areas of business development, from marketing, financial management, and operational efficiency to leadership and governance, online reputation management, and social media strategy.
In addition to working with start-up businesses, Dean's depth of experience has made him an effective advisor for many companies utilizing tea as a marketing tool to promote and grow their business.
Dean is accredited by the World Tea Academy as a Level-1 Tea Specialist and Certified Tea Sommelier with more than 19 years of experience operating a successful online tea business. Dean has been an educational speaker at the World Tea Expo and featured on CNN, Fox News, NBC, and numerous local and national radio and television networks across the United States on the topic of tea. Traveling extensively to visit with some of the finest tea growers throughout Asia, Dean is considered a foremost tea expert. Dean has a keen understanding of the operational challenges that start-up and existing tea businesses face every day while delivering guidance that is nuanced to the unique characteristics of each business owner's specific goals.
Founded and bootstrapped by Dean and his wife Lummy in 2013 at their kitchen table, Lifetime Tea is now one of the largest USDA Certified Organic tea companies in the United States, specializing in low minimum order quantity private label teas. Lifetime Tea operates a full-service production facility, which includes product sourcing, blending, flavoring, tea bag production, sales, graphic design, printing, packaging and fulfillment all from its Chandler, Arizona office and warehouse.
