Tea is the new wine, and tea and food pairing is a critical skill for tea house owner and restaurateur alike. In this four hour skill-building workshop we will go beyond classic tea sandwiches to tea and food pairings that will bring your customers back for more. You will learn why and how certain flavors complement each other, while other combinations fail utterly to bring out the pleasures of either tea or food. Then together we will use this knowledge to create and experience progressive tasting menus that will make both your teas and your culinary offerings memorable.

Learning Objectives

Through this workshop you will:
Understand how our flavor systems work;
Experience how teas and foods interact with our flavor systems and with each other;
Using this knowledge, practice menu development and tasting with different teas and explore how to structure menus large and small to give your customers an exceptional experience and the desire to come back for more.
