For those who tried Korean teas claim that Korean teas are one of the finest specialty teas in the world. This tasting session introduces the audience to the unique world of Korean teas.
Learning ObjectivesThe first segment involves tasting of different categories of Korean teas categorized by when tea leaves are plucked (e.g., Woojeon, Sejak, etc.). The second tasting segment introduces the audience to the three most well-known tea producing regions of Korea, each with its unique history, characteristics and terroir: Boseong (capital of Korean green tea), Hadong (home of wild grown natural teas in Korea) and Jeju Island (unique teas from volcanic ecological island designated as World Natural Heritage by UNESCO). The third tasting segment focused on tasting oxidized and black teas of Korea. After completing this comprehensive tasting session, one should have much fuller appreciation of Korean teas and develop a framework to differentiate Korean teas to any other teas of the world. All teas selected for the session are premier grade teas.
