Why Book Through the Block

Las Vegas is one of the world’s top business and leisure destinations, attracting nearly 40 million visitors a year. As part of organizing an event like World Tea Expo, we contract hotel rooms to ensure there are adequate inventory, convenient hotels, and affordable rooms for all our delegates.

For 2012, the LVH-Las Vegas Hotel & Casino is our headquarters hotel. With a majority of the delegates in one property, the networking opportunities can go all night long. Booking through the event block helps everyone, especially you!

Booking rooms “outside the block” hurts everyone. It lowers the event’s hotel pick-up used in booking future venues and meeting space, guests are not included in welcome announcements, information, or incentives offered to our group, and guests can sometimes be “walked”, meaning the hotel can move you to another hotel if they are oversold. In-house groups are the last to be walked in an oversold situation.

Additionally, our room blocks in LVH-Las Vegas Hotel & Casino are contracted with a low-rate guarantee, which means that if the hotel offers a lower rate during your stay, your rate will be adjusted to the lower rate¹.

¹The LVH-Las Vegas Hotel and Casino has guaranteed to the Expo to provide the lowest group rate in-house over the show dates (5/31/12-6/2/12). Exceptions include special discount room rates for targeted casino-patron special promotions (if applicable), negotiated volume corporate business and/or government accounts, airline crew rooms and other similar agreements or any other business on the books prior to the full execution of the agreement between the Hotel and Expo. The guarantee applies to the rates made available to the general public, through the hotel reservations department or 800 reservation service. Should a lower rate be discovered, the Hotel agrees to either 1) offer that lower rate to any Expo attendees who meet the booking restrictions of the lower rate or 2) remove the lower rate from all distribution channels.
