The Meaning of Tea is a stunning new documentary film from Tea Dragon Films. Directed by Scott Chamberlin Hoyt, it considers the question of whether there is any inherent “meaning” to be found in tea, particularly in an amped-up, high-tech era increasingly dominated by mass-marketing and fast food. By visiting places where tea is revered and by revealing its role in India, Japan, Taiwan, Morocco, France, England, Ireland and even Tea, South Dakota, the film suggests the profoundly positive role tea may lay in the renewal of our world.
For more information on the film and the filmmakers go to www.themeaningoftea.com or visit them at Booth 134 during the World Tea Expo. A DVD and Music CD will be available for sale at a discounted WTE price. Orders for the Companion book due out in September can be placed at the same time.
