Tami Halliman
Owner, Kathleen’s Tea Room

Kathleen's named after Tami's Great Grandmother, opened in March of 2005. After home schooling her four daughters all through their educational years, Tami was left wondering what to do with herself. A tea room seemed the perfect fit. Her love for hospitality and encouragement influences women to be "still" in an inviting warm environment. Tami now serves as Secretary for the Southern Association of Tea Businesses. The use of tea in Kathleen's recipes has allowed Tami and her staff, the honor of being featured in The Tea Experience Digest, Tea Time Magazine, and the book The Tea Experience - Favorite Recipes from Celebrated Travel Destinations. The use of tea has also set Kathleen's apart from the many other restaurant choices in the Asheville, NC area, making it a favorite stop for locals and tourist.
